In the 1990s Australian Director Alex Proyas made a splash with critically and financially successful movie "The Crow". For his follow up film Proyas decided to go with bold vision and made the sci-fi noir film "Dark City" While the movie was a critical success, it bombed at the box office and was forgotten by time.
